Project Overview

This project involved the conception, implementation, and ongoing development of SplitSeat.ch, a web platform that enables sports fans to share their season tickets. Using the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js), we created a responsive platform that followed the “Mobile First” approach to ensure optimal user experience across all devices.

Technical Challenges

The implementation presented several significant challenges:

  • Ticket Sharing Logistics: Creating an intuitive system for managing the complex logistics of sharing season tickets among multiple users.
  • Payment and Verification: Implementing secure payment processing and user verification to ensure trust in the platform.
  • Responsive Design: Ensuring the platform worked seamlessly across all devices, from mobile phones to desktop computers.
  • Scalable Architecture: Building a system that could handle growing user numbers and transaction volumes.

Solutions Implemented

To address these challenges, we:

  1. Developed a complete web platform using the MEAN stack for maximum flexibility and performance
  2. Implemented the interface using a “Mobile First” approach, ensuring optimal user experience on all devices
  3. Created a sophisticated ticket management system with calendar integration and notification features
  4. Built secure payment processing and user verification systems to establish trust
  5. Designed a scalable architecture that could grow with the platform’s user base

Outcomes

The project was a success, with the following outcomes:

  • Successfully launched a platform that enabled sports fans to efficiently share their season tickets
  • Created an intuitive, responsive interface that worked seamlessly across all devices
  • Implemented secure payment and verification processes that established trust among users
  • Built a scalable architecture that supported the growing user base
  • Provided sports fans with a valuable service that maximized the use of their season tickets
